Meet our wonderful interns behind most of the Facebook media!
Coen Schafer - My name is Coen Schafer, and I am a Junior at OJSHS. I participate in the Oregon High School Band, Jazz Band, and Football. I look forward to bringing creativity and energy to the district’s social media by helping to share the achievements, events, and unique stories that make OCUSD special. I became interested in this internship because I enjoy blending my interests in music, athletics, and design to create content that connects with our school community.
Virginia Sowl - My name is Virginia Sowl, and I am a senior at OJSHS. One thing that I really enjoy doing is reading, and I participate in OJSHS’ Academic Bowl team. I signed up to be a publicist because I believe that it is very important that parents and the community are informed about what all is happening in the OCUSD school district.
Nole Campos - My Name is Nole Campos and I am a Senior at OJSHS. I am actively involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletic Leadership Council, as well as Hawks Golf, Basketball, and Baseball. I am beyond excited to help facilitate posts throughout the district’s social media pages and to work with my peers to collaborate ideas. The reason I wanted to become a communication intern is because I’ve always worked well in sports and understanding the media behind it.
Emma Eckerd - My name is Emma Eckerd and I am a senior at OJSHS. I am involved in the Lady Hawks volleyball team and I am also a stat girl for the boys wrestling team. I am looking forward to being able to help inform the community about all of the great things that go on at OCUSD. I decided to take on this opportunity to be a communication intern because I like to be creative, involved, and be able to positively benefit the school and community.

Hawks shoot an amazing season-low score with a 160. Jackson Messenger lit it up with a 37 with 2 birdies. Nole Campos started off the day with an Eagle and continued to shoot well from there. Landon Anderson shot a PR 40 with a chip-in Birdie. Lastly, Tucker O'Brien contributed to the Hawks with a 45. The boys' team plays Forreston and Polo tomorrow, and then Rockford Christian on Thursday.
