Congratulations to 5th Grader Adalynn Blumeyer on winning the OES Yearbook design contest. Adalynn's design will be the cover of this year's yearbook after being selected from over 40 student submissions.

All 900 students and staff at OES created a hand print to create a mural to demonstrate that “We all have a hand in preventing bullying” as part of Bullying Prevention Week.

Our main hallway at OES is full of 3rd Grade Literacy Lanterns depicting students' favorite books.

Students in our second grades celebrated the end of their Ancient Greece Module by competing in the OES Second Grade Olympics!

Thank you to the Mount Morris and Oregon Fire Departments for spending the day at OES as part of Fire Safety Week. We really appreciated the first responders eating with our youngest students today.

We wore blue to stop bullying today!

We do a great job of celebrating staff in May during Staff Appreciation Week.
I’d love some help celebrating our great staff now in a similar fashion.
If there is a staff member or two worth celebrating, fill out this shoutout form:

I will pass them along to our team in a few weeks as we approach a busy week of Parent Teacher Conferences in Octobe.
Thank you for helping make their day!

We had a record turnout for our first Donuts with Dudes breakfast with over 200 grownups and their OES students in attendance. We had a fun trivia competition, shared with our students why we are proud of them, and had a discussion and activity centered around ways we can be respectful to different groups of people in our lives.
Thank you to all of the grown ups who took time to make it a priority to be here this morning.
