Announcements

  • Attention seniors: The senior committee has planned an overnight class trip to Wisconsin Dells March 7-8th. The cost is $120 and spots are limited. Sign up with Mrs. Reynolds - a non-refundable $60 deposit is required to secure your spot. This trip is limited to 20 girls and 20 boys, so act quickly! See Mrs. Reynolds for more information and check your email for details. 

  • Tutoring is available! The National Honor Society will be offering tutoring this year for grades 7-12 on Tuesdays during Hawk Huddle, and after school on Wednesdays from 2:10-3 pm. Walk-ins are welcomed!

  • Jr high StuCo is collecting pop tabs! Clean/dry pop tabs may be dropped off to Mr. Gilbert - thank you!

  • High school Valentines Dance tickets will be sold next week before and after school in Mrs. Stevens’ room (159), and during B lunch. Tickets will be priced at $20. The ticket will include entry to the dance and a mocktail of the students choice.  Tickets will also be sold at the door. Guest forms are available from Mrs. Stevens and are due Monday, 2/23.

Athletics & Activities

  • Students interested in playing high school baseball, softball, or girls soccer registration is open online through the school athletic website. On the website there is a "Registration" button on the top banner for you and a parent/guardian to fill out. There are also step by step directions on the district website. If you have questions please stop in the Blackhawk Center office

  • Spring clay target league registration is now open through March 23rd. Sign up sheet and information is available in the main office.

Silver Service Opportunities:

  • Several Hawk Huddles are collecting books to donate to the Rockford Public Libraries.  If you have books you no longer want, donate them to a good cause!  Books can be dropped off at rooms 147, 158, 163, and 164.  See Mr. Dace with questions

  • Mrs. O’Neil’s Hawk Huddle Shoe Project is now over halfway to our goal of collecting 10,000 pairs of shoes! Thank you to everyone who has already donated. Please keep those shoes coming so we can reach our goal!  Remember to label your bag with your name and the number of pairs inside so Mrs. O’Neil can make sure you earn 5 minutes of reward time for every pair you bring in.
