Many Oregon students had art on display at the Grand Detour Art Show. Several students K-12 won ribbons. The high school division brought home 3 ribbons. Daeshia P won judges choice, Abbie L won 2nd place, and Cristen M Honorable Mention.




A huge "Thank You" to this awesome young Hawk who was spotted helping clean up garbage in the bleachers during tonight's home volleyball game. The custodial department greatly appreciates your Hawk Pride!!

The SVCC Learning Commons is partnering with the SVCC Impact Program to offer free tutoring for 6th–8th grade students this fall!
🗓 When: Tuesdays, 3:00–5:00 PM
📍 Where: SVCC Learning Commons – Tutoring Center (3rd Floor, East End)
📅 Dates: September 2 – December 16, 2025
📘 What: Tutoring in all subjects by trained SVCC Impact high school students, supervised by professional staff.
👨👩👧👦 Parent Note: A parent/guardian must stay in the Learning Commons during the session. We provide free coffee, reading materials, occasional snacks, and a Children’s Collection with board games for younger siblings!
⚠️ Tutors are volunteers and will guide students—but not do homework for them.

OJSHS looks forward to welcoming all 7th graders and their families tonight for 7th Grade Orientation at 6pm. All new to the district families grades 7-12 are welcome to attend New Student Orientation at 7pm tonight.
On Monday, we look forward to our Meet the Teacher Night at 6pm for all OJSHS students and families. Our Activity Fair begins at 5:30pm on the Jefferson St Lawn where students and families can learn about OJSHS sports, clubs, and activities.
