As a reminder, there are three main entrances/exits for students at OJSHS. Parents are encouraged to drop-off/pick-up students at the corner of 10th and Madison, or east of the school down Madison Street. For student safety and to support smooth traffic flow, please avoid any staff parking lots before and after school.

OJSHS' Cardiac Emergency Response Team conducted a mock cardiac response drill today as the final step toward earning Project ADAM certification.
We will submit our documentation and expect to hear back soon regarding our certification status.
This important work helps ensure our staff is prepared to respond quickly and effectively in a cardiac emergency. OES is next in line to pursue Project ADAM certification as we roll into the next school year.
Great work to our team for their dedication to keeping our schools safe!

📅 OJSHS Schedule - Last Week of School
The final week of school (May 18–22) at Oregon Jr/Sr High School includes varying dismissal, bus, and class schedules. Please review the schedule carefully so your family can plan accordingly. Let’s finish the school year strong!
Important Notes:
🍎 Grab-and-go lunches will be available from the cafeteria on all early dismissal days.
🚌 Bus riders should note that buses will run at different times depending on the day. If a student needs to remain on campus to wait for the bus, they must report to the library. Students will not be allowed to roam the building after dismissal and will not be allowed re-entry if they leave the building.

Join us in celebrating OJSHS' May Senior of Distinction - Aralin McLain
“Aralin first showed up in my classroom as a shy, quiet freshman in Hawk Huddle. Since then, I have watched Aralin grow into an outgoing, mature, responsible young lady. Her dedication as a student and scholar is at a level where I want all of my students to be. She is a talented writer and musician who follows through on all levels once she commits to something and holds herself to a high level of perfection. She serves as a truly fantastic example for her peers and when I observe her interacting with others, they seem to respect and look up to her. I cannot wait to see what she accomplishes when she departs from OCUSD.” –Mrs. Ranae Taylor, OJSHS English Teacher

Come see this perennial powerhouse perform live: The concert band and concert choir have prepared extremely fun and challenging music for their May 9th program, including some of the highlights from the state contest.
The Jazz Showcase (May 16th) is always a blast with a more casual and relaxed atmosphere (including snacks and sherbet). However, this year will be extra special as the jazz band will be premiering a symphony written by director, Andy Eckardt. The piece is based entirely on the music of Supertramp, and will feature Chicago saxophonist, Ian Letts. Don’t miss it!
